If you're looking for the
"Real Hawaii," you will find it at Bamboo, where you can eat what
might possibly
be
the best food in the Pacific. Sip a
Hawaii Passion Fruit Margarita (we
invented them here!), sink into a deep wicker
chair under the palms and orchids, and let the Aunties welcome you
into their home. In our fully restored historic building you can sip a
Mai Tai and browse through our galleries of fine handmade furniture,
Koa crafts, and Pacific art.
We call our cuisine, "Fresh Island Style," since, like the mix of
people on our Island, we offer the foods of East and
West, and create a unique new blend of these flavors. We make
every effort to bring you the freshest foods available by
supporting local families and farmers in Kohala as they bring us
their fresh fruits and vegetables each day. We buy fish daily from
our local fishermen and grow flowers and herbs in our own organic
garden overlooking the sea.
Located just 30 minutes from the Kohala Coast Resorts in downtown
Hawi. You can make a day of it by driving to us via
Hwy 250, called "the most beautiful drive in the world" as it
wanders through Kohala's lush mountains. Come in for live Hawaiian
entertainment on the weekends. We hope you "leave the building
